NPI: Share It! The Hows and Whys of Dissemination & Information Exchange***
On Tuesday, September 19, 2006, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM PDT, WEDI is offering a special audiocast on NPI to Providers, Provider billing office managers, Provider information technology staff, Health Plans, and Clearinghouses. During this Audiocast, speakers will address the ins and outs of the CMS NPI Dissemination Notice which should be published. If not published by the time of the Audiocast, the discussion will center on what the final rule indicated about dissemination and the material and process that most likely might occur. The Notice is expected to define who will be able to access NPI data from NPPES and when they will have access, what data will be available and for what purpose the data will be used, and what restrictions and charges will apply. Speakers will also discuss the WEDI recommended industry standards for NPI Information Exchange between trading partners, including paper, phone, web, and bulk NPI data exchanges.
About one-half of the audiocast is allotted for answers to caller questions, giving the audience an opportunity to ask the speakers specific questions regarding Subparts, their insights and experiences.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED: With less than 10 months to NPI compliance, the eyes of the industry are turning to the issue of how will organizations access, collect and maintain provider NPIs. Health plans have to collect thousands of NPIs from providers. Providers need to access NPIs from other providers for referral and billing purposes. There are two main mechanisms to access and collect provider NPIs: NPI Dissemination from NPPES and NPI Information Exchange between trading partners. Establishing a comprehensive NPI Dissemination and Information Exchange strategy will be one of the most critical steps in achieving successful implementation of the NPI.
COST: WEDI is pleased to offer the outstanding rate of $99 for this 90-minute audiocast. The registration fee allows you to dial-in one time to the event. You may conference in as many people as you would like into your phone line, but you MAY NOT dial into the official audiocast line more than once. Those who dial into the call with more than one phone line will be billed additional registration fees.
